As I deliberated, I knew that Carson Newman University was where I wanted to attend. I live and work as a nurse in a rural area, so the ability to be an online student met my needs and gave me the opportunity to pursue my goal to obtain a post-masters certificate as an FNP.
What has been the most positive aspect of your experience with your FNP program?
I think the most positive aspect of my experience in the FNP program is the personal attention you get. Professors and instructors were very involved and took time to communicate through emails, zoom meetings, and discussion boards. I never felt like I was just a number. As an online student, I always felt included and present as if I were attending on ground. This was especially evident during my clinical experience, instructors, as well as professors, were involved and helpful in establishing and providing feedback that led to a positive clinical experience.
Could you tell us about your clinical and clinical placement experience? How did our placement service benefit you?
My clinical experience was positive, and I am very thankful and appreciative of the knowledge I gained. As we all struggled through the changes the pandemic brought, the leaders in the Carson Newman FNP program were always supportive and helpful in assisting students to meet their clinical requirements.
