Carson-Newman University Online offers two accredited nursing programs designed to empowers nurses to become well-rounded, proactive caregivers who can work independently within any healthcare setting.  

RN-to-BSN Program

Highlights and Outcomes

• 100% online (not including clinicals)
• Learn from  experienced FNP and DNP faculty who are active nurse practitioners in their communities
• Graduate in as few as 14 months, based on transfer evaluation
• Licensed RNs can receive up to 90 hours of credit
• Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
• Allows most RNs to qualify for advancement opportunities that would otherwise be unavailable at the ADN/ASN level

MSN-FNP Program

Highlights and Outcomes

• Qualifies graduates to take the national certification examination as a family nurse practitioner
• Position you to serve as an autonomous primary caregiver, and even in your own practice in some states
• Graduate in as few as 32 months
• Coursework is 100% online (not including clinicals or practicum) with one on-campus residency, allowing you to meet your classmates and instructors in person
• Learn from  experienced FNP and DNP faculty who are active nurse practitioners in their communities
• Accredited by:
  • Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges
  • Approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing
